How do we verify your age?

When creating an account or placing an order with Nexus Vapes we will request your full name, billing address and date of birth. This must be entered as it would appear on your drivers license, electoral roll or used for a UK credit card. This information must be entered correctly as we will use it to verify your age before delivering any goods.

To securely verify your age Nexus Vapes use professional third-party services to verify your age. Where you have asked us to provide an age restricted product or service, you consent to allow us to share your information with, and collect information from, GBG and third-party providers of identity data to GBG. This consent is necessary for GBG to verify that you meet the minimum age and identity verification requirements as determined by relevant UK age restriction legislation.

You consent to allow GBG to retain relevant data for the purpose of future verification. All data processed by GBG is subject to appropriate security measures. Data retained by GBG is subject to periodic review to ensure it is not held for longer than necessary. 

How does it work?

If you are placing your first order with Nexus Vapes, or if using an alternative email address to what is registered to your account, Age Verification will display a pop-up modal at the Order confirmation stage. This will automatically check your age against the information provided to us at checkout. If these checks do fail you will be given the option to re-verify via the following methods:

• Mobile Phone Number
• Credit Card
• Electoral Roll
• Drivers License

Alternatively a photo of your passport or drivers license can be emailed to info@nexusvapes.co.uk.

Once you have been successfully verified you will not be required to take this action again on future orders.

What if you can’t verify my age?

If we cannot verify your age, we will need you to send us a photo of an official piece of ID, along with a selfie, to info@nexusvapes.co.uk. Please include your order number with this email, and we will be back in touch once your identification has been verified by a member of our team. During business hours, that’s usually within a couple of hours, evenings and weekends may take us a little longer, so please bear with us.

We do not store copies of ID sent to us.
If we cannot verify your age, we will cancel your order and refund it in full.

We cannot be held responsible for any delays this may cause to your order being sent.

 Your Personal Data Is Safe With Nexus Vapes

As we use AgeGate secure age verification services, our customers’ personal data is never logged or stored, just processed at the point of your first order with us. This means that, so long as you have created an account with us, you only have to verify your age one time and all future orders placed with us will go straight through without requiring further age verification.
